What is male edging?

How is cum edging done?   

The difference between cum edging and regular masturbation is that you stop with all stimulation once you reach a point of high arousal.  

This is the concept of cycling in which you move from lower to higher states of arousal and back. Doing this for an extended period of time will increase the range of levels on both high and low side.    

It is like a wave where the peaks on both side get increasingly pronounced.    

You want to push yourself as close to the point of no return (PONR) as you can, than let the arousal fade out a bit and continue.

One example of a cognitive therapy exercise that is prescribed is a form of male edging where the man stimulates himself close to ejaculation, than stops and than repeats the process three times. The fourth time he is allowed to ejaculate. 

He should start this ejaculation practice first with dry hands and than switch to using lubrication once he has mastered his response to the dry stimulation.  

Using lubrication will make the masturbation more similar to stimulation that is experienced during intercourse which makes it harder to master.   

   

Effectiveness of cum edging   

It has been proven by several studies that edging is extremely effective for treating premature ejaculation. I myself have easily doubles my staying power through edging.   

The main problem with edging is that you need tremendous discipline for doing it. It is very, very hard to stop stimulating yourself when arousal has become very strong.
